Straight answers

The questions operators actually ask.

No hedging and no sales language. Where the honest answer is “no” or “not yet”, it says so — you will find out either way, and it is cheaper for both of us if it is now.

Running an event on it

My team won't adopt another app.
Volunteers get one screen and one job. If they can use a group text, they can use MOOV. Try it on your smallest event first.
Radios work fine. Why change?
Keep the radios. MOOV is the map and the record radios never gave you. Nobody has to give anything up.
What about cell coverage on course?
MOOV works over cell networks and catches up gracefully after dead zones. For long no-signal stretches, keep radio backup for that segment. No app fixes a dead zone, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Is my event data safe?
Your event data belongs to you. Access is controlled per role, traffic is encrypted, and we never sell or share it.
Do volunteers pay?
No. You pay for organizer seats. Volunteers and crew you invite to work an event join free on their phones, however many of them there are.

Seats, pricing and billing

Can I buy Live Ops on its own?
No. Every account starts with Planning — it is where the course, the zones and the routes live, and Live Ops runs on top of what Planning drew. Taking Planning on its own is perfectly normal.
What does “starting at” mean?
The headline price covers you, the owner. Everyone else takes a seat by ROLE, not by product: $39 a month for a coordinator seat, which covers whichever products you own, or $5 for marshals and field staff on a support seat. Buying the bundle does not mean buying a second seat for the same person. No volume bands — your fiftieth seat costs the same as your first.
Do volunteers and viewers pay?
Never. Viewers are unlimited and free, forever. Only people who draw, dispatch or get tracked on the map take a seat.
What happens if someone leaves the team?
Hand their seat to someone else — the seat is the slot, not the person, and swapping who sits in it costs nothing. Seats are bought by the month from the day you add them, so a released seat simply runs out its month.
What about texts, calls and AI?
Every seat includes 500 credits a month. One credit is one text segment to one person, one voice minute, or one AI answer — push notifications, chat and email are free. Bigger weekend coming? Credit packs start at $35 for 1,000, and purchased credits never expire. Hitting a limit mid-event never stops the work; the difference just lands on your next invoice.
What's the refund policy?
Anything that would come back to you is applied to your next invoice as account credit — money never has to travel backwards for you to be made whole. The one exception is our first-event guarantee: if the platform didn't operate as advertised on your first event, that one we refund in full.
Monthly or yearly?
Either. Yearly is ten times monthly — two months free — which suits a full season. Monthly suits a one-off event.

Ask us anything else

The answers above are the questions we get asked most. If yours is not here, ask it — you will get an answer from what we have actually published, or an honest “we have not covered that yet”.

Still stuck? Get in touch and a person answers, or email support@moovevents.ai.

Your next event could feel different.
